Leadership has been one of the most important themes in my development. Through athletics, coaching, and team-based environments, I have learned that leadership is not only about directing others. It is about setting a standard, communicating clearly, staying accountable, and helping a team move toward success together.
As a player at Northern Illinois University and a captain/player at Southwestern Illinois College, I gained firsthand experience in commitment, resilience, and team-first leadership. These roles required focus, consistency, and the ability to lead through example in competitive environments.
My leadership also developed through my work as an Instructor and Assistant Coach at Dave Griffin Baseball, where I balanced instruction, operations, decision-making, and relationship-building. That experience taught me how to guide others, provide effective feedback, and support both individual and team growth.
The leadership style I continue to build is grounded in accountability, communication, adaptability, and trust.
I choose discipline over excuses.
I put team success ahead of personal recognition.
I lead through action, accountability, and example.
I stay adaptable and focus on solutions.
I treat people with respect and professionalism.
I stay humble enough to keep learning.
I believe details matter.
I prepare with purpose.

My goal is to launch my career in wealth management, combining financial expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a client-centered approach to help others build and protect long-term financial success.
I intend to pursue graduate study through either a master’s degree or a Juris Doctorate to further strengthen my analytical, financial, and strategic knowledge.
I seek to begin my career at a firm that values professional development, equips emerging professionals with meaningful opportunities, and provides mentorship that will help me refine my talents over time.
By May 2027, I will positively impact the NIU community by taking on a leadership role in a student organization, contributing to at least three campus or community service initiatives each year, and intentionally supporting at least five peers through mentorship, encouragement, or professional guidance.
If I could work for any company, I would want to work for Morgan Stanley because its mission and values align with the kind of professional I want to become. I am drawn to a firm that puts clients first, values integrity, and is committed to developing exceptional talent. Morgan Stanley’s focus on wealth management, mentorship, and professional growth reflects the kind of environment where I believe I could continue building my skills, learning from strong leaders, and making a meaningful impact throughout my career. A future opportunity I would aspire to pursue is Morgan Stanley’s Resident Financial Advisor path, including the firm’s current Chicago opening.
