I worked as a business consultant on a team project for a nonprofit childcare center that aimed to improve its fundraising strategy. Our aim was to identify ways to make donations more feasible, build relationships in the community, and build the organization’s financial stability for the future. I helped to conduct research on donor engagement strategies, analyze nonprofit fundraising methods, and develop recommendations including building an alumni and sponsor donor network, developing recurring donation options, and enhancing outreach through social media and community partnerships. We provided a professional plan of strategy with measurable objectives and implementation plan. This experience has improved my skills in teamwork, problem-solving, communication, research, and creating solutions for real organizations with limited resources.
I would like to thank my three group members: Jonathan Chavarria Perez, Deacon Jensen, Jovanny Canel. They helped tremendoulsy throughout the entire semester with ideas, editing, support, and teamwork. They kept me updated and communicated content with me when I couldn't be their due to traveling for baseball. I would also like to thank the professor. Professor Kuhar taught more than just things to be successful in school, she taught us things to use in real life and in interviews to be successful. The things I learned and people I met are extremely valuable and I will appreciate them for a very long time!
